How it works

How backloading works

You get a share of a truck instead of paying for the whole thing.

1

Tell us what’s moving

A list or a home size helps us work out the space you need. Try the truck size guide.

2

We match you to a truck

We find a truck going your way and confirm pickup and delivery windows.

3

Wrapped and loaded

Your items are wrapped, strapped and kept together on the truck.

4

Delivered

Unloaded at your new home within the agreed window.

Is it right for you?

Who backloading suits

  • 1–2 bedroom units and smaller homes
  • Single items or a few pieces of furniture
  • People with some flexibility on pickup and delivery dates
  • Students, downsizers and anyone sending part of a home ahead

When a dedicated truck is better

For a full family home, or when you need the furniture on a fixed day, a dedicated truck is usually the better choice. Compare both on our interstate removals page.

What is backloading?

Backloading means your belongings travel on a removal truck that is already making the trip to your destination. You share the truck with other loads and pay for the space you use.

How much cheaper is backloading?

It depends on how much you are moving and how flexible your dates are. For smaller moves it is usually much cheaper than paying for a whole truck. Your written quote shows both options so you can compare.

Is my furniture safe on a shared truck?

Yes. Your items are blanket-wrapped, strapped and kept together on the truck, with the same care as a dedicated move.

Which routes can I backload on?

Most often Adelaide to and from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Ask us about other east-coast cities.
