What makes a Hills move different
Many Hills homes sit on sloping blocks with long, steep or unsealed driveways. A large truck that suits a suburban street can struggle on a narrow, winding driveway with low branches.
What we check before quoting
- Slope and surface: whether a loaded truck can safely climb and turn around.
- Width and clearance: gateposts, carports and low-hanging eucalyptus branches.
- Carry distance: how far the crew walks if the truck has to park at the road.
- Road access: narrow or winding roads that suit a smaller truck.
How we handle tricky access
Sometimes the safest plan is a smaller truck, a third mover for a long carry, or loading from the road. We include this in your written quote, so there are no surprises on the day.

Get a quoteCan a removal truck get up my driveway?
Often, yes. When we quote, we ask about the slope, width, surface and any overhanging trees. If a large truck can’t get up safely, we use a smaller truck or plan a short carry.
Do Hills moves take longer?
They can. Steep driveways, longer carries and winding roads add time. We allow for this in the quote, so the price doesn’t change on the day.
Which Hills towns do you cover?
We move homes across the Adelaide Hills, including Stirling, Aldgate, Crafers, Bridgewater, Hahndorf, Mount Barker, Littlehampton, Woodside, Lobethal and nearby towns.
What if it rains on moving day?
We bring extra floor protection and plastic covers for furniture. If a driveway becomes unsafe in heavy rain, we talk with you about the safest way to load.
